Local, Natural Fibers:
All fibers are sustainably and responsibly sourced to support Kenya’s local economy and protect the environment. His wool is 100% Kenyan, organic, and gathered from our regional farmers, supporting over 200 spinners and their families. Our cotton is certified-organic and sourced from a socially responsible Tanzanian farm that meets leading ethical and environmental standards, including SA8000, Oeko-Tex, and OCS certifications.

About the Knitters:
The primary purpose of Kenana Knitters is to support women in the local community, by directly providing them with a source of income, thus enabling them to improve the quality of their own lives as well as those of their extended families. Kenana Knitters is dedicated to supporting the local community by empowering over 300 rural Kenyan women to knit a brighter future for themselves and their families.
